I was surfing around the internet for a bit, today
I stumbled upon a site.
http://www.vbs.tv/
It’s pretty sweet.
I watched a handful of the Art Talk! Videos.
I really liked the art of Aurel Schmidt and Misaki Kawai.
Aurel’s artwork is highly detailed and, from a distance, have a very unified beauty.
But, by taking a closer look, her art is revealed to be a composition of more disgusting and vile smaller components.
Check out her videos here.
Her art is very impressive, and the level of detail is amazing.
The underlying messages portrayed in her art
is also a very apparent problem
that can be observed everyday in different magnitudes.
Her art owns souls.
And, she’s kinda cute, too.
Completely opposite from Aurel is Misaki.
She’s a Japanese artist who, like Aurel, lives in New York.
Check out her videos here.
But, unlike Aurel more mature art, Misaki’s work is almost child-like: very simple and very innocent.
Though Misaki’s art is not so visually impressive in the sense of line drawing accuracy, shading and all around technique,
her art thrives on simple, universal emotions that creates a beauty different to Aurel’s work.
She talks about the importance of having a good sense in art.
She admits to maybe lacking some technique, but she also comments that her good sense is more important for art.
I also checked out this other female artist.
(that’s weird, huh?)
Her name’s Laurel Nakadate
Check out her video here.
Instead of pencil and paint, she uses film as her medium.
The video clips of hers that I saw made me feel a bit awkward.
I think that’s her goal, but i’m not sure if i should
pity the men and view her as a sort of dominator
or praise her for saving these men from
their long lifetime of loneliness,
even if just for a few hours.
Then, I thought,
“Man, I really hope I’m not that lonely when i’m that old.”
I’m a positive thinker.
I also watched these videos, once again on vbs.tv,
that were about the trash-pickers of the only Manila garbage dump.
It really drove home the dire state of the Philippines.
Over 10,000 people live in the dump.
That turned out to be about 2,500 families.
The dump is practically a city of pure garbage.
The garbage site used to be very unorganized and dangerous.
In the past, the impoverished people who lived there
had to kill to get the best recyclables.
But, once Colonel Jameel Jaymalin began to organize the dump site a bit,
the dangerous began to decrease.
A sort of order was found amidst the chaos.
You should watch some of the videos.
It’s pretty amazing stuff.

I enjoy that you find cuteness is always an appropriate trait to include when describing any girls you’ve encountered or seen.
